Evaluating for systemic artery aneurysms using noncontrast magnetic resonance angiography in patients with Kawasaki disease: A report of two cases

نویسندگان

چکیده

Kawasaki disease (KD) involves coronary aneurysms and can infrequently cause systemic artery (SAAs). Therefore, patients with KD should be evaluated for both arterial aneurysms. This report describes 2 cases of SAA using the diastolic phase image electrocardiogram-gated three-dimensional fast spin echo during noncontrast magnetic resonance angiography. The first case was a 1-year-old male who diagnosed at months age. Multiple right axillary measuring 6.0 mm 2.5 left 12.0 mm, 4.0 3.0 were observed by scanning 94 seconds. second 13-year-old 4 age, 7.0-mm aneurysm 101 Electrocardiogram-gated in help evaluate does not require prolonged time or contrast medium.

Two Cases of Super-Giant Coronary Aneurysms after Kawasaki Disease

Acute giant coronary aneurysm after Kawasaki disease (KD) is a catastrophic complication that can be fatal and very difficult to manage. However, no fixed consensus has been reached for the management of super-giant coronary aneurysms in the acute setting. Here, we report the successful management of young children with super-giant coronary aneurysms after KD. Based on our experience, hemodynam...

Magnetic resonance angiography, function and viability evaluation in patients with Kawasaki disease.

OBJECTIVES We evaluated the ability of magnetic resonance imaging to perform a noninvasive assessment of coronary arteries, function and viability in one examination in a population with Kawasaki disease. BACKGROUND Magnetic resonance angiography (MRA) can identify coronary abnormalities in patients with Kawasaki disease (KD). Contrast enhanced cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CeCMR) is the...

Application of magnetic resonance spectroscopy for evaluating metabolic alteration in anterior cingulate cortex in Alzheimer's disease

Introduction: Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the most common cause of dementia worldwide. Mild cognitive impairment (MCI) is often the prodromal stage to AD. Most patients with MCI harbor the pathologic changes of AD and demonstrate transition to AD at a rate of 10–15% per year. Accumulating evidence indicates that the asymmetry changes of left and right brain have happened in the early stage of A...
